The Hotel, restaurant/pub is very friendly. The room we had was good for the money we paid. Very recommended. The only problem we had it`s the connection to the internet is not great. Max we had was 1.5 Mbps

Lovely family run hotel. Room was small but clean, cosy and warm. Ideal location just off the main A465 but quiet with no road noise. Decor sadly dated and in need of modernisation - however this would result in massive costs that would make it too expensive for my price bracket, so I was more than happy with how it was. Best of all was the food: our stay included breakfast, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a full menu so we had our evening meal there too (additional cost). Prices for food and drinks were shockingly low. Pub is popular with locals who all made us feel welcome and enhanced the atmosphere in the bar. It was interesting to learn from them some history of the valley plus also where to go for nice walks / views. The hotel is sadly for sale: we only hope it has a bright future, as we'd love to stay again.

Great place! Stayed while at Bike Park Wales. Myfanwy went above and beyond to make my stay as welcoming as possible. Hard to find hotel/pub like this these days and great value for money with breakfast included. Dinner was lovely also, and all in still so much cheaper than any other hotels nearby which offer much less. Will definitely be back and will recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay near the Bike Park. The pub has great atmosphere and really cozy. Thank you Rhymney House!

Excellent at all the basics and a great price Stayed 2 nights for walking in Bannau Brecionog. Everyone was incredibly nice, friendly and helpful for a start. The breakfast was really good and freshly cooked. As well as cereal, fruit, fruit juice, tea, coffee and toast, there was then also a full cooked breakfast too. The hotel and the rooms were basic, but everything worked perfectly. The shower was hot, there was soap, fresh towels, they gave us 2 fans as it was hot. The bed and pillow was genuinely one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in in my life, so I had a great night's sleep both nights. Fantastically cheap prices in the bar as well - £2.85 a pint - amazing!!! I've had the pleasure of staying in some swanky places in my life, but I would definitely stay here again if you need to be nearby and would recommend anyone to do so.

This hotel is in a great location as to hike the Brecon Beacons and the staff are really friendly and the free breakfast was a cherry on top and delicious One of the radiators in the room we could not get to work so we were a bit chilly at times, but the facilities in the room were otherwise great. A budget friendly hotel would recommend :))

My husband and I, spent 3 nights in this hotel. The rooms were great and bed was extremely comfortable. As for the service from Tony and the team Were extremely awesome, polite and they all went that extra mile to make our stay wonderful. We will definitely go back again. The food was on point. Ann whom cooked all the food , she cooked with her heart. Everything we ordered was delicious. Thank you to you all. Warm wishes Maria and Ronnie Haywood.
